After the Lichtenstein method for my hernia repair on 10/09, I find the portion of my lower belly just above the incision to be slightly swollen and hard. Can I do some physiotherapy for this and how long will it take to be normal?

Hi lybrate-user the swelling and hardness is a natural acompaniment of surgery. There is nothing to worry. It shall level off by 6 months. But the firmness shall persist all through out. No need of any physio rather avoid lifting weights and strenous exercise give your body enough time for the wound to heal.
