I. I've been having like an irritation I would say in my larynx. It sometimes hurts and feels raspy when I talk so I avoid talking much. I've also been noticing that sometimes when it gets raspy like that and hurts, it also starts feeling much irritated when I breathe (through my nose). I also get this burning sensation on my tongue. I've been getting this for quite some time now. Months, some days more than others. I wonder what this could possibly be. I will get an endoscopy done in some weeks, but I do wanna have like an idea of what it could be already, so I hope you can help me with this. I am a type 1 diabetes patient, sugar levels are under good control.

Even before endoscopy a general examination (along with proper case history ), the doctor would be able to diagnose it. If needed, specific tests would be advised after clinical examination. (it may also be due to throat infection or gastric problems ). As a precaution you can gargle with warm water (salt water) a few times a day. Have freshly prepared homemade food, avoid spicy or oily food. Do take care of the sugar levels by adjusting the calories and being physically active. Let the doctor advise appropriate treatment. You can revert after that. If the complaints become recurrent then you can add Homeopathy which is safe and gentle. You can contact me for a detailed consultation.
