Hi, My age is 32 , we are planing for children. Doctor done some tests, in that one of the test thyroid also and my reports r LH 2.91 mIU/mL FSH 5.79mIU/mL Prolactin 8.27 ng/mL (T3 59. 04 ng/dl) T4 6.9ug/dL TSH 1.11uIU/mL . so doctor suggested thyronorm 25 mg. Am I thyroid patient? May I use medication life long? Please suggest diet also 4.

NO, IT IS JUST TO HELP IN PREGNANCY. 25 mcg WILL KEEP TSH BETWEEN 0.1-2.5 YOU ARE NOT THYROID PATIENT.

Lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. Your thyroid test results look normal. TSH is 1.11mU/L in that situation there is no need for thyroxine tablets at all. Only if TSH is high (>4 mU/L) then it is required. You do not have hypothyroidism. Thanks.
