I suffered from testicular torsion in my right testicle when I had hit puberty (I was 14 that time). The doctor wrongly diagnosed it as Orchitis. As a result, after some time the testicle hardened and later on became atrophic. I did not have any surgery to fix my remaining testicle or to remove the atrophic testicle. Around 10 years have passed and I am 24 now. I have not had any problems as such in the past 10 years. My Ultrasound and Testicular scan results are also normal. I had both of them a couple days back. So should I still get my left testicle fixed or is it not necessary now? Would there be any difference about the chances of me getting torsion in my other testis as compared to normal guys?
