I have just noticed that I have some swelling on my penis. The swelling is not in the tip of my penis. It is on try foreskin. The swelling is not a lot but noticeable. Not itching or no pain while urinating nor is there any discharge. What can this be. Anything to worry about? I sometimes use shower gels to clean the area. Please help.

the most common include posthitis and balanitis. Posthitis is infection of the foreskin, usually caused by fungus thriving in the hot and moist conditions. Balanitis is infection of the foreskin and glans, and is usually caused by poor hygiene. Smegma encourages the growth of infection-causing germs. Suggestion: Keep the groin area clean and dry. Self-care treatment for paraphimosis includes applying ice to the penis to reduce swelling. One method is to place ice in a rubber glove and then place the penis inside the glove. After cold application, apply pressure to the glans while simultaneously pulling forward on the foreskin.
