I underwent pyeloplasty 18 years ago for left kidney. Now for the last 8 months I feel left flank mild pain and fullness but not severe pain. When I underwent CT scan abdomen and DTPA Renogram it revealed 14 mm and 5.5 mm calculus in left kidney. Renogram revealed residual puj obstruction. I consulted an urologist he said he would do RIRS for calculus. He spoke about puj obstruction as if it is negligible. Just before entering the operation theatre he said it is needed pyeloplasty open. We were not prepared for pyeloplasty as I am a teacher and schools were about to open. He said he would do RIRS but just placed DJ stent. In ultrasound stone is in the left kidney of 14 mm. We don't know what to do. We were cheated. Is there any problem with DJ stent? What should we do? Please help us.
