Hi, I have been taking prolonged treatment for psychiatric depression corresponding to grossly diagnosed paranoid personality disorder. In 2009, I got major DISEASE which was very late diagnosed. Name of disease was splenic abscess accentuating previous diagnosis of very high grade fever for at least 4 months. Etiology was still unknown. On examination through ultrasound and spiral CT scan doctors immediately recommended me to go under major surgery which was very complicated to save the life. My operation progressed positively followed by drainage of multiple abscess instead of splenectomy. Now it's 2018 I am very OK and continuously working as a pharmacist with different companies for almost 8 yrs. My question is that can I get married considering the comfortable matter from girl side as I already went surgery enabling me showing concern towards happy married life? If yes so should I tell the girl about my past?

Dear Anubhav, It is better that you tell about your surgery and also paranoid personality disorder to your fiancee. Only after you both have decided to get engaged - not necessarily beforehand. If necessary, please give her the doctor's number and address along with your case paper details so that she gets clear idea, how to cope with your paranoid nature.
