I have undergone uretosigmoidostomy surgery 20 years back and now I?m 33 weeks pregnant and facing severe pain in abdomen and tightness from 2 days despite of using tab rabera and belic as advised by doctor. Today doctor have injected betnesol 3amp, please help me out why I?m facing the pains and why doctor used betnesol injection.

Inj betnesol is given for fetal lung maturation, it's given when doctor's anticipate preterm delivery, it's given so that if preterm delivery occurs the baby does not suffer from respiratory distress Pain in abdomen could be due to irritable uterus or preterm labour pains.
