Hey lybrate-user From 6 to 12 months, babies do not need much water but introducing water helps then get used to the taste .Limiting water to about 60 ml to 120 ml per day is the typical recommendation when they make the transition to solid food. During hot, humid weather or constipation increase water intake to 180 ml to 240 ml per day. After 12 months of age offer milk with meals and water at most other times for thirst. We get about 20 percent of our fluid requirements from foods. If the baby's urine is a pale yellow color, he or she is probably getting enough hydration.
