Hi doctor, I have a case of multiple lipomas on my arms, abdomen, chest, upper and lower back, waist. I had a surgery and got majority of them removed, as some of them were on my hands and were noticeable. But 9 months later, I have 30-40 of them all over my abdomen, chest, back, waist region, some of them 1-2 inches in dimension. They seem to grow in number continuously. Isn't there a treatment to control their proliferation? Do they have a correlation with working out or stress? I have seen vague indications on internet, but nothing concrete. Thank you so much.

Usually multiple lipoma are asymptomatic so surgery is not indicated in all cases. When the lipomas increase in sizes and cause pressure symptoms on the underlying nerves and blood vessels they only surgery is indicated. What you need is little bit healthy lifestyle modifications like take plenty of green leafy vegetables fruits lemon pulses also increase your daily water intake you can also add vitamin E supplements daily.
