3 year old child can not make stool that hard which can make her bleed. Blood in stool at this age is most commonly due to infection, which is called as Bacillary dysentery. Not necessarily she should pass more number of loose stools. In this case she will need antibiotics. If due to chronic constipation she has developed anal fissure then she will have fresh blood (streaks) encoating the hard stool. In this case she will need laxatives and the duration will be 2 months or more to avoid recurring the problem in future. Meet your paediatrician and clear all doubts.
