Hello, Thanks for the query. The drugs that yu are taking including Insulin Mixtard are all very safe. There are hardly any side effects. Most of these drugs are taken for a number of years. No major side effecs are seen. Conditions like diabetes and hypertension are to be treated for life time. So these drugs are very safe. There is no mention about the blood glucose levels and HbA1c% & BP readings, so I am not aware how well these are cotrollled. More serious problems occur when glucose levels & BP are not well controlled. Another aspect is your grade 2 obesity with a BMI of 33.775 kgs/Sq meter (Normal < 23kgs/Sq meter), you have an excess of 27 kgs, which is a major issue in the control of BP or glucose. Thanks.
