Nephrotic syndrome usually minimal change disease which are common in children usually relapse whenever there is any sought of infection. You can go in for stress dose steroid, that means whenever you feel he is developing some throat or chest infection, give full dose steroid as per his wt (40-60 mg of prednisolone) for 3 days, so that he tide over that crisis period. Still relapses are common and part and parcel of this disease.
