I am suffering from ringworm from last one year. I switched to homoeopathic in between but didn't see any change, so I switched back to allopathy and I take terbinafine and itraconazole tablets daily. The itching is in control but when I stop eating those tablets, it again starts. 1. Is there any permanent way to cure this disease? 2. I have really big patches of ringworm on my inner thighs and ass, I can not go to swimming as they are clearly visible, how can cure those patches (although no itching sensation)? 3. Can I apply soap on the infected region while I take bath? 4. I have heard that by doing gym, these patches will disappear, is it true? 5. Is my age right for joining gym as I have huge belly fats? 6. Does my underwear style (jockey fp02 brief) is the reason for this ringworm?

Ringworm or Tinea infections, are a fungal skin disease. A family of fungi called dermatophytes causes these infections which might occur anywhere on the body, typically the arms, legs, neck, groin, scalp, hair, nails or beard. The fungi survive on the dead skin cells or keratin and rarely invade the deeper membranes and tissues. However, many ringworm (or Tinea) infections often recur and the usual medicines simply do not help the patient.
