At first when I check sugar level it was 201 after eating breakfast. After that I went to a diabetologist. My fasting sugar was 166 and test after 2 hrs of meal was 251. Then doctor prescribed medicine for me metformin 500 once a day. I went for another test after taking 1st medicine and a breakfast. It was 145. Then I quit medicine for one day. On another day after fasting it was 114 and on random 172. Should I concentrate on diet exercise with out medicine for some days or will I continue it.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details on going through those it is very difficult to answer your question. Usually when a person has confirmed diabetes, drug treatment is almost always necessary to control the blood glucose along with diet and exercise. Please check HbA1c% and inform. If you want to stop medication and try out diet control and exercise, that can be your own choice. Thanks.
