I gave my blood sample to thyrocare assistant. The reports came with increase in uric acid 9.6 mg/dl. I am taking febucip 80 mg medicine from 2 weeks. Please advise me about the do's and the do not's about it. Please guide me about the diet. Please help me out of this.

Things that may cause this slow-down in the removal of uric acid include rich foods, being overweight, having diabetes, taking certain diuretics (sometimes called water pills) and drinking too much alcohol. Other less common causes are a diet high in purine-containing items or your body producing too much uric acid. Limit purine-rich foods. You can limit the source of uric acid in your diet. Avoid sugary foods. Avoid sugary beverages. Drink more water. Avoid alcohol. Lose weight. Balance insulin levels. Add more fiber to your diet.
