Yesterday while playing cricket I got an injury to my right leg thumb, bleeding also happened. Immediately I went to hospital and consulted a doctor & they gave me took two injections one is tt & another one I don't know. After giving injections they have done dressing to the wound & then doctor had prescribed me 2 types of tablets (cefixime & rantac) for 5 days. And one ointment mupimet (daily 3 times. My doubt is, how can I apply ointment to that wound with bandage on it? If I have to remove dressing & apply ointment, then do I need to get dressing again after applying the ointment? Please help me.

Once you remove the dressing for applying the ointment you can reply the dressing again it is clean and not soiled But if the dressing is soiled you will have to re apply a fresh dressing as your injury is in the big toe and you can get infection
