Hi. Normoz tablet is not a birth control pill. It is basically a insulin sensitiser which helps to reduce insulin resistance and tries to correct the basic pathophysiology of pcos. It by reducing insulin resistance, androgen levels helps to resume ovulation and regularises periods. But in my experience I have seen that along with normoz we often have to add one more drug either only a progesterone for last 10 days of the cycle or a combined oral contraceptive pills. Long term management is lifestyle modification and weight reduction.
