Hi, One year back I had a negative but bbf hbsag and now I have got a positive hbsag with a reading of 1.91 and a positive dsdna and pcna ana profile. How is this possible because I have not gone through anything that causes positive hbsag but one year back I had been taken to operation theatre wherein I was treated and my false vocal cords were removed through laser. So I would like to know the meaning of dsdna and pcna being positive and how do I know the reason for a positive hbsag.

The anti-double stranded dna (anti-dsdna) test is used to help diagnose lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus, sle) in a person who has a positive result on a test for antinuclear antibody (ana) and has clinical signs and symptoms that suggest lupus related to dsdna: dsdna virus. Acronym. Definition. Dsdna. Double-stranded dna. The anti-dsdna antibody threshold of >/10 iu/ml was established on the basis of the evaluation of patients with active clinical disease. It is possible that abnormal sub clinical anti-dsdna antibody levels occur in the currently accepted normal range.
