Hi i?m 27 year old and trying to conceive. I had 30 day cycle, 11 days long period. So my gynae prescribed me duphaston from 1st day of period till 21st day. So I started taking it from 28th jan i.e my first day of period. But since then I did?t got my periods. I went again to doctor, she did my ultrasound and hcg test both were negative so she gave me primolut n to start periods for 5 days. But it?s my 12th day today, I did?t got my periods. Is it duphaston that?s delaying periods? It?s been two months now please help. There?s no cyst or any other problem.

Repeat your urine pregnancy test, if negative then wait for 7 days ,if periods still do not start then take tab ovral -g twice daily for 5 days for withdrawal bleeding. Get your thyroid profile and prolactin levels done.

It could be most probably due to duphaston. It's basically a progesterone hormone. If at all duphaston needs to be given its ideally given in later half of your cycle that is post ovulation (day 15/16 onwards). Of course you can do home pregnancy test to find if any chance of pregnancy.
