My condom broke during intercourse with a person whose hiv status I don't know. As prescribed be a doctor I have taken viraday tablets for 30 days. Now which test is required as today my medication is over?

Hello. As per latest who and cdc guidelines for pep, you need to take screening test at 4 weeks and at 12weeks after the exposure. Ie you can take one test now as you have finished your 28 days pep and the last test at 3 months (from the exposure day). You must have done 1st baseline test at the start of pep. Please do recommended 4th gen ag and ab combo test. Please see theres no need for very expensive rna pcr test. It is not recommended as screening test. Test at 6 months is no longer recommended now.
