Increased albumin to creatinine ration and microalbumin are indicators of reducing kidney functions which is a common complication of diabetes. It is better to consult a nephrologist to arrest further deterioration of kidney functions.

Hi lybrate-user, you have not mentioned your glycemic status (hba1c) ,so status on your glycemic control can't be commented. Urine for microalbuminuria tell about failure of your kidney to retain small protein and not let them lost. Remember 1st thing is good glycemic control. 2nd hypertension to be rulled out.in case of hypertension ,special category of drug arb / ace-i be initiated but only after evaluation by your physician. I suggest you to consult your diabetologist.
