Dear 1 mg, myself harish 35 years and my wife age 35 yrs. We are trying to family planning for last 5 month but my wife couldn't conceive. One year before my wife miscarriage after 40 days of pregnancy. So we are very tensed about this. So we are visiting a gynecologist doctor and as per doctor advise we are doing lot many test. Tc, dlc, haemoglobin, esr, random blood sugar, creatinine, serum, urin for r-e, fsh, serum. Prolactin, pelvic ultrasonography wuth tvs and all test is normal. And my wife amh test result is 1.68 ng/ml. My semen analysis test report is sperm count 20 million/ml. And doctor could not successfully done my wife's hsg test. She could not push wife's tube. Hsg test not successfully done. After all report doctor advise wife's to take folinal plus 1 tablet daily and ecosprin 75 1 tablet daily. And new lycostar 1 tablet daily both of us.� doctor told us that we can naturally can family planning. If within three month my wife's is not getting pregnant than hydrotubation test is required. Please check and advise us. Kindly provide supporting suggest. Please.

Dear Lybrate User, Your semen count is ok but also need to look at other semen parameters like motility and morphology. Your wife's amh is reasonable considering her age but also would like to see the antral follicular count on usg. Of course the positive point in your side is you conceived once although it was a miscarriage at 40 days and trying duration is just 5 months at the same time female partner age is a most crucial point for success. After 35 natural conception chances reduce at a faster rate as age advances. Hsg is a diagnostic test to see whether tubes are patent or not. It's not a corrective step. I mean if your tubes are patent it should work for you. Could not able to do dye test should not be a limitation. Of course, there are other methods like a diagnostic laparoscopy which is considered to be best for tubal assessment. You can go for it if unable to conceive in a couple of months.
