I think you have cervical spine problem and need detail evaluation and imaging to confirm that. Once diagnosis is conformed you can be treated accordingly. I think you are also overweight and need to do some form of exercises to keep it. Avoid abuse of the neck in the form of continuous working on computer or cell phone which can screen your neck and cause the pain. Meanwhile you can apply ice for 20 minutes every hourly which can be leave your pain inflammation and muscle spasm. Take pain killers only when you are having severe pain and need to work as well.
