If she is having pain after using betadine, then consult gynecologist who prescribed it to her. Generally betadine doesn't not cause any pain. Although pain can be due to pessary insertion if technique is not correct. CONSULT GYNECOLOGIST.

Also it is to be noted that whatever pessary a person used, it should be inserted deep inside the vagina because if it is just near the entrance it will rub against the walls of vagina and give pain.
