Sevista contains ormeloxifene which is a non hormonal, non steroidal once a week oral contraceptive pill. It is also safe in breast feeding. Its dose is 30 mg twice a week for 3 months followed by once a week thereafter. It is very easy to use, its non hormonal and has minimal adverse effects. It can cause delayed and scanty periods in few women but this usually settles down after first few months. It also has many other non contraceptive benefits.
