Little background had kidney cancer had right kidney removed in april also I am hiv + had an mri done of the brain. Parts of it read scattered nonspecific hyperintense. T/2 flair signal changes throughout the subcortical, periventricular, deep white matter. Represent the sequela of chronic small vessel ischemic leukoencephalopathy what does that mean what is small vessel ischemicleukoencephalopathy? Thank you for your help.

It can refer specifically to any of these diseases: progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy. Toxic leukoencephalopathy. Leukoencephalopathy with vanishing white matter. The report can be explained the small blood vessels supplying the brain is damaged and as a result, the brain matter is damaged.
