Hello Dr. I am now 11 week of pregnancy with twins. I am already taking tab folvite 5 mg before my pregnancy, now mytreating doctor prescribed to take orofer xt and calcimax 500 mg. Hence just want to know 1-is it safe to start these two medicine now along with other medicine specifically with folvite? 2-have no idea how to take and when to take these two medicine? 3-what all precautions need to take care before taking these two medicine 4- coz had confusion about iron tab whether to take in empty stomach/ shd not consume milk/curd etc kindly suggest me better. Regards gitanjali.

Hi. Yes its safe to take all three tablets but u can stop folic acid as the iron tablet itself has required folic acid. All these tablets can be taken after food. ideally dont combine iron tablet with calcium tablet.
