Microscopic description section shows polypoidal sinus mucosa with many aseptate, broad happy with many aggregates of thin angled septate hyphae. Also seen are aggregates of pigmented spores and cannot like structures. Tissue invasion and necrosis is evident. No evidence of malignancy. Diagnosis biopsy left maxillary sinus- invasive mixed fungal infestation with fungi morphologically resembling mucormycosis, aspergillosis (fungal balls) and spores of pigmented fungi.
