I am 56 years old my tsh is 0.005 taking eltroxin 100 mg now before I was prescribed 200 mg blood sugar fasting 188 and pp 245 taking medicine gemer ds2, and janumet 50/1000. My ha1bc test is 7.2.

Mr Subir, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. Looking at the TSH level of 0.005 mU/L, it is much lower than what is expected. Ideal level is between 3 to 4 mU/L. The range is 0.5 to 5 mU/L.. ( it may vary a bit depending upon the labs). But your level is too low, showing current dose of Levothyroxine is more than required. With current TSH levels you are likely to develop symptoms of hyperthyroidism. As regards blood glucose levels, both fasting and after food levels are quite high. Ideally in a well controlled person fasting glucose should be < 100 mg & PP should be 150 to 170 mg and HbA1c% < 6.8%. Hence there is a need to give a closer look at your diet, weight, height and exercise apart from the drug treatment. Since there is no information on weight, height, dietary pattern and extent of daily exercise, it is difficult to comment or give any suggestions. Thanks.
