I am a 23 year old male from the us. I traveled to eastern europe (still here) and I think I developed traveler?s diarrhea about a week into my trip. It?s day 10 or 11 and I still have abdominal pain followed by very loose and watery stools about 6-7 times a day. Other than that, I lost about 10-12 pounds in 2 weeks. I don?t have any other noticeable symptoms though. I don?t have nausea, I don?t have blood in my stools, I have an appetite, and i?m not tired. Also, i?m on 1 mg of suboxone a day (been tapering from 8 mg down to 1 mg for the last 2-3 years). I don?t think this influences anything but when I take it, it does kind of help. Finally, I did?t go to a doctor, but I think I had ibs for about 2-4 years before being put on suboxone. Then it seemed to go away, as I had mild constipation. Is this traveler?s diarrhea? Ibs? Both? Something else? Thank you.
