Hi. I would like an opinion concerning my 2 month old niece. A hard lump has formed on her right breast. It is not tender to the touch but the area was swollen and red. She was not bitten or stung by anything. We took her to the emergency room where they took blood and urine samples. They put her on augmentin antibiotics three times a day. This happened last night. The swelling has gone down but the lump is still hard and the redness has faded. The doctor said that if it's an abscess the lump should of been soft by now with the antibiotics where they will be able to drain it. I will like a second opinion however. What do you think caused this to appear? What could thia be?
