I am 20 years male and I took my 3rd anti rabies vaccine on 18 september and my 4th and last anti rabies vaccine date is 9th october but again a street dog scratch me 2 times so what should I have to do now, should I re- start anti rabies vaccine from day 0 or I have to take my only 4th anti rabies vaccine which is on 9th october.

Rabies infection is caused by the rabies virus. The virus is spread through the saliva of infected animals. Infected animals can spread the virus by biting another animal or a person. In rare cases, rabies can be spread when infected saliva gets into an open wound or the mucous membranes, such as the mouth or eyes. Once a rabies infection is established, there's no effective treatment. Though a small number of people have survived rabies, the disease usually causes death.
