Hello, doctor, I want to clarify a doubt regarding my wife's pregnancy. Her lmp was on august 25. Her period was irregular as well. After confirming the pregnancy by using a pregnancy kit, we consulted a gynecologist and underwent an ultrasound scan in which the gestational age of the fetus was 5 weeks and 7 days. The first scan was on october 17th, at that time there was no cardiac activity noted. We have done a scan today in which the heart beat of the fetus was detected. It was 170b/m. But I am surprised after seeing the gestational age of the fetus from the scan. It was 11 week. How it is possible. According to the first scan calculations the gestational age was supposed to be 9 weeks. Can you explain how this contradiction happens? She is 28 now and is primy gravida.
