I have discharge from my umbilicus from the past 3 months with a little pain and swelling at that part. Recently that part became reddish with increase in discharge amount. I have shown it to a surgeon and he asked for ultrasound scan of the abdomen part around umbilicus. After checking the scanned images he suggested to use medicine for one week. If the discharge doesn't stop then he suggested surgery. Can you please tell any alternate treatment for this.
