I am a 25 year old women. I am 19 weeks pregnant. I am currently taking mckenna once a week for my pregnancy. A year ago I was using apetamin which helped increase my appetite and I gained weight. After finding out I was pregnant I had vomiting a lot and I lost 10pounds because of it. I have passed the vomiting phase and can eat regularly again. I want to gain weight again. Is apetamin safe to use with mckenna shot? I really need to gain some weight.

Apetamine is type b drug as per fda. That means less likely to cause any risk to the baby. However it would be advisable to have protein shakes for pregnancy. There are many brands and flavours available like mamaproteinex or proton mom's.they can help in weight gain. Further more. If you're a non vegetarian then you can increase your dosage of two boiled egg whites (only whites not the yellow) in the morning. These things can help you gain weight in pregnancy. However you should also not gain excess weight. Excess weight gain is a common sign of developing pih or pregnancy induced hypertension which is very harmful for both mother and baby. Stick to protein powder and eggs. And consult a doctor in person for further assistance.
