I am suffering from uric acid. As per doctors advice, I used to take medicine febutaz 80 and ace-proxyvon starts from last two days but there is no progress. Kindly advice me. Uric acid level is 10.6.

Mr Rakesh Kumar, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. Uric acid 10.6 mg is quite high. But please tell me what symptoms do you have, because nothing is mentioned about that aspect. Only increased uric acid is not such a problem unless there is gouty arthritis. Since treatment has been started, it will take a few days for seeing any results. Plus you will have to follow certain precautions which I am sure doctor treating must have already conveyed. Those are: 1 Stop taking high purine containing foods (if you are taking non vegetarian diet), cut out organ meat like liver, kidney. 2) Avoid red meat, only dressed chicken can be taken. 3)Sea food should be avoided. 4)Colas & alcohol should also be avoided.
