Hi, I seemed to have sprained my neck more specifically levator scapulae 3 times on the same side, the first 2 times where during working out but the 3rd one was not, infact when I woke up in the morning, I was fine but I took a nap again on the same place where I have a soft pillow and the height of it is almost parallel to the bed when I place on my head on it, so I have no idea how could I have injured myself (i did nothing because of lockout) so I have 2 questions here, 1) can I use a neck brace to over come the pain, if yes, any specification or type 2) 3 times on my left seems like a muscle imbalance to me, so anything that I can do to not go through the same pain again in the future.

You need isometric neck exercises which can be easily found on youtube. Regarding neck brace for acute pain it is advised to be used to a maximum 3 days after which it is not advised as the body becomes dependent on it and further weakens the muscle.

1) neck brace / soft cervical collar is only useful to prevent sudden jerks/movements causing pain 2) regular exercises and proper position while sitting/working, combined with adequate muscle-specific nutrition will help completely solve your problems.
