Hi, I have been taking tonact 10 mg from last 2 months for lowering my cholesterol, which was total cholesterol 300 around 45 days back. But I have been facing chest pressure / very mild pain around chest. And this is happening from past 1 year. Sometime it?s totally fine and sometimes I feel chest pressure with heart palpitation with around 70-75 bpm. My current blood pressure is 128/88. What could be the reason for this chest discomfort and palpations/ what should I do to control it. My food is primarily veg and very limited alcohol. Please guide.

You have dyslipidemia- high cholesterol disease, and you are having chest pain which is in form of pressure over chest. This can be due to heart related disease. Considering your age, you are definitely at low likelihood of heart disease. But still these symptoms, if they occur with exercise/activity and relieve with rest, then they must be checked out by a cardiologist. This becomes even more important if you are a smoker/alcoholic.
