Hello doctor. I was taking earlier omeprazole 20 mg for acid reflux as I was feeling cough in chest. One doctor suggested me to take pantosec dsr cap. Instead of omeprazole. After taking this capsule 2 days I am feeling abdominal pain. I am afraid. Shall I stop this medicine now or take omeprazole as I was doing earlier.

Mr. Vijay, Both omeprazole and pantosec belong to same class of drugs are usually safe. Abdominal pain may be more due to underlying problem rather than because of the medicine. Please get investigated thoroughly as to why you are having pain

Do this 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic). ) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Don't Overeat 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. U can eat whatever ur mother or grandparent eat in bfast.
