I'm 20 years old. I'm having the problem of conscious and seizure since I was 4 years old. During that time doctors consulted me tegrital tablet. Later on the problem was solved after continuous dosage for 5 yrs. But since last 4 years the problem again started. The neurologist consulted me oxetol 300 mg twice a day. But after 1 yr, he increased the dose to 450 mg twice a day. But still the problem is not solved. Still I get seizures and unconscious mainly 1or 3 times in a month. The report of eeg, mri, ct scan show normal reports. So help me. What should I do to overcome this serious problem.

I can understand your condition. It's really very troubling to suffer from seizures more than once every month. As I see, you are on a single anti epileptic medication. If this drug fails to control your seizures, other drugs or a combination of drugs should be tried. Did you explained properly to your doctor about your disease? Because if two or more drugs also fail to control your seizures then, it may be considered as drug resistant or refractory epilepsy.in that case other options might have to be considered. You can consult a neurologist who is more experienced with treatment of seizures. Hope you are seizure-free soon.
