I am 19 years old. I was having pcod and took medicine but after 3 months. I missed them again. And when I consult my problem with an online doctor, she suggested me to take meprate 10 mg. I took those tablets for 5 days, that is 25 march to 29. 1 tablet per day. And then after 2 days, that is on 1st april. I got my periods. And completed my cycle properly. Now my next date is was on 1st may, (that is today) but I don't get my periods so I want to ask that I have to take the same tablets again or what can I do for getting my periods? Because due to this lockdown I am not being able to go to a doctor for my check up. Please help me out because I need some solution for this.

Hi lybrate-user ji, pcod is the hormonal unbalanced and lifestyle disorder disease. Allopathy has only hormonal tablet. Your period is coming till you take the pill. Ayurveda has permanent solution and good medicines for pcod. I can suggest you ayurvedic medicines after discussion.

Right now if you are sure you are not pregnant, don't worry about periods. You can wait for 7-10 days, for periods to come naturally. Many a time due to physical/mental/ emotional stress, there could be irregular periods. After 7-10 days, still no periods, then we can go ahead with meprate 10 mg for 5 days.

understand in Polycystic ovary disease you will not have ovulation when there is no ovulation the periods it tends to delay so you have to regularise your lifestyle modification and proper sleep pattern first to get a long run treatment for it that is the basic after which you can take some help of medicines but if you are periods is beyond 50 days it is ideally you should take some withdrawal bleeding
