I am 48 with labile hypertension. Since last four month, I used to experience multiple episodes of high bp whenever I had continuous belching. Two months ago, I also was diagnosed with mild esophagitis after an endoscopy and I had taken multiple courses of esomeprazole & pantoprazole over last 4 months to solve my belching problem. My bp is now under good control (telsar-h 40 mg once a day). But recently, I started experiencing a mild needle like pricking pain in a specific spot to the right of my belly button. I feel like rubbing on it at times. I do not have any chest pain or any other indication of acid reflux. I do have repeated occurrences of belching particularly on empty stomach. It is the consistent mild pricking sensation that is bothering me. I am on a very bland diet with just rice & moong dal and I do not take milk, sugar, chilli powder or spicy or fatty foods or citrus fruits. Do I need to start taking ppis again? Is this a rebound of high acidity due to stopping ppis (esomeprazole) earlier?
