My 3 year baby girl suffering from worm itching. I sadly see worms in her annul area. I give her albendazole 5 ml in a week amd repeated this same at next week. But no difference. How can I treat it?

Hi lybrate-user, sometimes its anal fissures due to constipation can cause itching. So look for hard stool if present then give laxatives and stool must be soft. You can vive laxative for long period also. Warm water sits bath for 10 minutes two times a day.

The correct dose will be 10 ml at once, preferably at bedtime. You may repeat the same dose after a week depending on the symptoms.

Inspite of giving albendazole no improvement. Advise to give sy nemocid 5 ml once a week for 4 weeks (pyrantel palmoate) it works wonders.

Give 10 ml single dose mostly at night .also familly deworming is necessary. Along with water treatment and prevention measures from getting worm infestation.
