Intra uterine early pregnancy follow up after 3 weeks report in usg ,without fetal pole & embryo, I had bleeding & cramping few days ,but after 4 days taking duphaston & folic acid little bleeding is occurring, I don't want any complications during & after pregnancy ,so want natural miscarriage, is it possible after taking these drugs?

Your usg report is without fetal pole and embryo i.e. Blighted ovum this is to be terminated no need to continue preg by taking duphaston if you have bleeding consult your doctor.

Hi Lybrate user. Early pregnancy confirmation with usg, pregnancy test and beta hcg. Follow-up of pregnancy to be done monthly .safe to use duphaston and folic acid. Bur better still to stop this and take naturogest 200 mg bd and folate 5 mg tds, duvadilon tab 5 mg tds, iron tablets, calcium, and bed rest.

Your pregnancy is not viable at this stage hence duphaston is not required. The blighted ovum needs to be pushed out. Ideal would be to visit your treating doctor or you can wait for a week and see if the bleeding increases. Other medicines are to build up your health. You can continue with iron folic acid or take them after the current situation is resolved.
