Dear Lybrate user, fungal infection is a common problem in diabetics with past / active tuberculosis and asthma / copd. The reason for this is usually uncontrolled blood glucose levels. Since the diagnosis is clear and treatment for fungal has started, now get a1c test & renal function tests - and consult with an endocrinologist for further management of blood glucose. Wishing speedy recovery.
