Im 50 years old female and I took aceclofenac 200 mg sr tablets twice daily for 5 days instead of once daily by accident. Is there any long term side effects of that? Should I get checked? I am having bloated abdomen due to gas.

Yes ,obviously it has side effects. Acelofenac belogs to nsaids which is ised to relief oain and inflammation. The most common side effect is gastrointestinal discomfort due to acidity and gastric ulcers. Frequesnt ulceration can have a bad prognosis. This is why is is essential to con6a doctor before taking medication because a doctor shall always prescribe nsaid with a ppi to prevent any side effects. Also nsaid is not meant to be given for long term. I'd advice you take a 15 day ppi course twice a day and stop taking acelofenac discuss you problem for which you have been taking acelofenac to get better prescription.
