If you have dry, scaly, itchy scalp- you maybhave seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff, scalp psoriasis etc. Your doctor has to assess you well first. Ketoconazole will not help the other conditions. Ketoconazole shampoo should be used twice a week. Lather and use like normal shampoo over scalp (not on hair ends) and leave on for 5 mins, then rinse off continue for few weeks. If this does not improve you will be advised tablets ans other medication or reassessed by your doctor for other diseases.
