Exclusive breastfeeding is advisable till 6 months of age. Formula feeding has several side effects, mostly because of improper dilution or non maintenance of hygiene while preparing or feeding the baby. But if formula feeding is unavoidable, then proper dilution to be used, good hygiene to be practiced and feed to be given using katori and spoon instead of bottle.

Lactodex can always be given as a substitute to breast feeds. But the benefits of breast milk can not be outweigh. Bottle feeding should be avoided as it adds to nipple confusion and child usually stops breast feeding. 30 ml warm water per scoop.
