I am 73 years old male. Presently suffering from gout pain since one week, my right big toe joints red swollen. Initially I took voveran 50 for 2 days @ two tablets per day. But pain was not reduced significantly. So I stopped voveran. For the last two days I was combiflam when improvement was much better, but I had to stop combiflam as I faced high and acidity and indigestion. Pain has come back again. My uric acd content is 7 - 8. Kindly advice.

Hello, thanks for the query. To control pain due to gouty arthritis one has to take drugs like diclofenac and ibuprofen. So you will have to continue using the same medications. If hyperacidity occurs, then you will have to take drugs to control that like ranitidine (twice a day before food) or (omeprazole once a day befor breakfast). Or consult a local physician and take a pain killer injection. Your uric acid is not very high. To prevent repeat infections please contact a physician and follow his advice. Thanks.
